This innovative programme offers strategic business development for practice business managers and is designed to provide an understanding of the key elements of measuring Fitness for Purpose of a healthcare provider, developing business cases, promotion of services to patients and commissioners and effective partnership working. It is a very practical programme with a focus on the skills and competencies required for managing provider services in a contestable market environment.

The programme is delivered through 5 one day workshops (one per month) and is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership & Management, the workshops are as follows:

Fitness for purpose, Strategy Development & Implementation., Service Business planning, Developing Strategic Partnerships, Promoting Services with patients and commissioners

The programme is due to commence in June 2009 and will be held in Birmingham and there is limited availability
