Andrew developed and implemented ABS, the NHS Online Directory System, containing e-mail contact details for over 700,000 NHS mail users, enabling timely and accurate communications within the NHS and improving patient care

 

Implementation of NHS Wide Area networking and messaging solutions from initial pilot to operational service, providing improved interoperability and sharing of vital healthcare information 

Operational & Service Management management of National Infrastructure Services (NHSnet/N3/SMTP Mail) and service providers (BT/Cable & Wireless/Syntegra), ensuring that contracted service levels and the needs of the NHS continue to be met

Designed and delivered “Management Challenge” style awareness event based around the core components of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT) to over 130 people. It increased staff awareness and identified key programme benefits for patients and the wider NHS
